Logitech LX7 wireless mouse10.29.22pm BST (GMT +0100) Thu 24th May 2007 Work in progress .. Trying to get this cordless mouse working with Linux. On both Suse 10.2 and Ubunty 7.04, all I've tried, the gnome-power-manager does tell me how much battery is left. You have to set it to 'always display icon' via the power management icon in control center, or direct with /opt/gnome/bin/gnome-power-preferences Not got all the buttons and tilting wheel working yet. Au contrare, they do irritating things. Oh for the cool stuff MacOS does with its mouse! The following config was supposed to get the wheel working in Opensuse 10.2 (in xorg.conf) Section "InputDevice" Driver "evdev" Identifier "Mouse[1]" Option "Buttons" "9" Option "Device" "/dev/input/event2" Option "Name" "Logitech USB RECEIVER" Option "Vendor" "Logitech" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5 6 7" Option "Buttons" "9" Option "ButtonMapping" "1 2 3 8 9" Option "Resolution" "1200" EndSection .. but it didn't. One to come back to. Related Links:/blog/herby - Logitech LX7 with openSUSE 10.2 Use of xev programme to identify all the mouse buttons etc
